People's Choice Awards

As is the Canadian way, "the people", that's you, have a vote too. Voice your opinion on Chinese Canadian achievements by voting for your favorite candidates.

Nominations and voting for our People's choice awards is completed online. If you wish to nominate you may follow the nominations page instructions and enter your candidates.

The People's Choice award winners will be chosen by the votes given online in accordance with the guidelines on voting below. This is not an award to be selected by the selection committee.

The Awards are overall awards and cover or include as significant part or all the criteria of the other awards but will be selected for the following:

1. Most notable Chinese Canadian for the past 150 Years
2. Greatest Chinese Canadian Achievement
3. Greatest Contribution to Canada; And
4. Most Honourable Person of non-Chinese descent who exemplies the spirit of achievement and who has assisted Chinese Canadians - the Peoples choice for our all-Canadian award.

Voting Guidelines and Rules:

1. One vote per person per category
2. Votes accepted only from valid email addresses (please use only one address to comply with guideline one)
3. The greatest number of valid votes will determine the People's Choice winner
4. Only eligible nominated candidates will be considered
5. VCCA reserves the right to apply its nomination guidelines to determine eligible nominated candidates
